Noir House sits behind a near-windowless street elevation — a deliberate act of restraint that hands the entire architectural experience to the interior courtyard. Black steel and board-formed concrete frame a private world organized around one existing tree, preserved through construction as the project's quiet centerpiece.

Inside, a double-height living volume stacks the public rooms vertically rather than horizontally, letting a compact footprint feel expansive without extending the building's shadow across its garden.
