Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Forge.dev ("Forge", "we") collects when you use our developer platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, workspace application, and API.

Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, and workspace membership when you or your organization create a Forge account. Usage data: which features you use, review and deployment activity, and performance metrics, collected to keep the product reliable and to improve it. Source code metadata: to power AI code review, documentation generation and Knowledge Search, Forge processes the contents of repositories you explicitly connect. We do not sell this data, and it is never used to train models shared across other customers' workspaces.

How we use information

We use collected information to operate and secure the platform, provide the AI features you've enabled, respond to support requests, and — only with your consent — send product updates. We do not use your source code or workspace content for advertising, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data retention

Workspace content is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete a repository connection or close your workspace, associated indexed content and review history are removed from active systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.

Sub-processors

Forge relies on a small number of infrastructure and AI-model sub-processors to operate the platform — for compute, storage, and inference. Each is bound by a data processing agreement at least as protective as this policy, and none is permitted to use your data for purposes outside providing the contracted service. A current list of sub-processors is available on request.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. Workspace administrators can export or delete workspace data directly from account settings; individual requests can be made by contacting us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify workspace admins by email and post the update here with a new effective date before it takes effect.
