Terms of Service

Last updated July 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Forge.dev's website, workspace application, and API (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, your organization.

Using Forge

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service, and you're responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity that occurs under your account. Workspace administrators are responsible for managing who on their team has access.

Your content and code

You retain all ownership of the source code, documentation, and other content you connect to or create within Forge ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service for you — including generating AI reviews, documentation, and search results — and not to train models shared with other customers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to violate any law, infringe on others' intellectual property, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, or interfere with the Service's availability for other users. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this section.

Subscription and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected at signup. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel a paid plan at any time from account settings; changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle unless stated otherwise.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our current uptime performance is published on our status page.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, we'll make Your Content available for export for a reasonable period before deletion, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll notify workspace admins by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
